Here she is, awaiting the keel and with the hull primed and ready for paint. In a couple of weeks she’ll “turn turtle” and the decks can go on.

GOING FULL CIRCLE

 

Here I am at the East Greenwich (RI) Yacht Club last Saturday. I had been invited to give my talk there, and to accept an Honorary membership to the club. My career in boats began there in 1958, having never stepped foot in a sailboat, as a tyro in their junior sailing classes. Needless to say I took to the sport.

I got to thiniking, grey is a bit.. well, grey. And maybe a boat of this size doesn’t really need a boottop. So now I’m thinking Sky Blue with a white bottom. Whatcha think?
